The distinctive elements of the new Tornado
course is the search of safe technical solutions, the quality of the
building material and a particular attention to design. This is the
inspiration behind the Tornado 45 project. This traditional boat
is an elegant open with clean and slender features, rigorously sporting
in personality. The Tornado 45 was born in 1995, conceived by the famous
American designer Tom Fexas. It immediately distinguishes itself for
the sharp bow, conveying a powerful image, character and a strong personality.
The commercial success arrives together with the victory in 1997 of
the prestigious offshore race, Venice-Montecarlo with Adriano
Panatta, the famous Italian tennis champion at the helm. The new boat
was first presented in world preview at the Genoa Boat Show in 2008,
the outcome of an attentive restyling of the deck and cockpit by the
engineer Francesco Guida. The new design has made the boat more contemporary,
but above all more functional and comfortable: The sundeck has a convenient
side passage, the spacious outside living area with the aft couch continuing
along the side, a useful table, a practical fridge under the double
steering seat with a perfect 360° view. Due to its proved efficiency
and seaworthiness the hull has remained unchanged, of American inspiration,
with a deep V shape. The performance of Tornados motorboats is
the same to that of other boats of the same size. The difference is,
that they obtain it through higher power, displacement and fuel consumption.
We at Tornado do it with a low fuel and energy consumption and a reduced
environmental impact uniting in symbiosis power and reliability.
